Test Footage!
Test Footage take 2 from Nick Cribbett on Vimeo.
This is our first take on the method of editing that we are intending to use within our advertisement. We chose to do this to get an idea of how the filming would go, what methods of filming we would need to use, and how we could edit music into our work. This was basically just to familiarise myself with the techniques needed. We found how different acting/filming/editing styles come out differently, and what styles were successful and which weren't.

Apple iPod Moodboard
This is a moodboard that i created on all things associated with the Apple iPod. It's mainly made up of logos, advertising slogans and products. I did this to get an idea of brand image for our closest competitor, Apple. This is just a small amount of the images associated with the brand as it is such a large company. I found that Apple use a lot of images as a brand and that maybe this would be a way that we could help to promote our products in our advert and in other methods of advertising such as packaging, posters, online etc.

Textual Analysis - Sony Walkman
This is a textual analysis of one of our closest competitors, the Sony Walkman. It's basically the same sort of product that we are advertising, a music playing device with camera/video recording/playback features. I have done this to get an idea of what i can include in my own advertisement, to see what things work well and what things don't work so well. I have looked at different aspects of the advertisement and analysed the features within.
Textual Analysis - Apple iPod Nano
This is a textual analysis of one of our closest competitors, the Apple iPod Nano. It's basically the same sort of product that we are advertising, a music playing device with camera/video recording/playback features. I have done this to get an idea of what i can include in my own advertisement, to see what things work well and what things don't work so well. I have looked at different aspects of the advertisement and analysed the features within.
Welcome to my blog
Hey, my name's Byron Jackson an A level student from Tavistock College, Devon. I have made this blog to present all of my Media Studies Coursework, where I am focusing on advertising. The product that i am advertising is a music playing device similar to an iPod or Walkman. We are trying to promote music bringing people closer together and a more economical approach to charging the device.
